A small hand embroidered doll made to be displayed like an ornamental figurine on a shelf.
I have used a combination of different hand embroidery techniques for this piece including an intricate darning stitch, chainstitch, split stitch and french knots.
The front side is made from the remnants of an antique french linen grain sack. The back panel doesn't have any embroidery and is made from blue and white striped linen. It is filled with soft fibres.
Measures approximately 25cm tall, 12cm wide (at widest point) and 5cm deep.
